This morning, HS Big Blakely spoke at FCS bright & early! She shared her remarkable testimony to 70-80 middle school students. It was powerful & she truly has a servants heart. ❤️

This afternoon was a good time to welcome 2 new matches to our school based program! They each worked on a few goals & talked. The boys had an intense game of chess ♟️ to break the ice, while the girls played Uno!

They are ready to get to know one another & do interacting activities!

🎬 Fall Festival Recap! 🍂 This past weekend, our Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Alabama team joined the fun at the Fall Festival — and what a day it was! From smiling faces and games to music, laughter, and community spirit, it was a beautiful reminder of what happens when people come together to make a difference. 💜 Every handshake, hug, and high five helps us build stronger connections for our Littles and Bigs across Northeast Alabama. A little Halloween craft making today! We managed to keep most of the glitter off of ourselves today 😜

Today, our Littles & match made Halloween Crafts! They all had a great time making their creations. 🎃👻

Earlier today, we made a match at Piedmont Middle- Big Katie & Little Arianna. These 2 already knew each other as Katie was a lifeguard at the local pool & Arianna hung out here all summer! They worked on school goals & got caught up.

In our last picture, Big Allie & Little Ava worked hard with the Magnatiles & made a house!

Bright & early this morning, we had another match Reunion! Big Blakely & Little Naomi was able to catch up!

Senior Spotlight:

Melanie Studdard will graduate from Piedmont High School, where she has been an outstanding student and leader. Serving as the 2024–2025 Basketball Team Captain and earning a spot on the All-County Basketball Team, Melanie has demonstrated excellence both on and off the court. She is an active member of SGA, National Honor Society, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Mu Alpha Theta, the ACT 30+ Club, and Peer Helpers. After graduation, Melanie plans to attend Auburn University to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
