Etowah County Young Farmers Committee

It was a cold morning at Rainbow Middle School today, but we were able to partner with Southside FFA and Fifty Shades of Hay Farm for the annual AG in Action event! Each year, we get together with the RMS 8th grade class to advocate for Alabama agriculture. We hope that the students learned something new today and are excited for the opportunity to enroll in an agriscience class at Southside High School next year!

The Alfa Youth Leadership Conference is Nov. 4-5 at the Alabama 4-H Center in Columbiana. This two-day event provides leadership and ag advocacy training for 9th and 10th graders.❤️

Conference includes:
✔️High-energy workshops
✔️Motivational speakers
✔️Outdoor activities
✔️Relationship-building

Mrs. Allison Heald was recognized for her service to the Alabama FFA during the second session of the 96th Alabama FFA Convention. She received the highest honor the organization can bestow on its supporters – the Honorary State FFA Degree.

It’s always a great day sharing Agriculture with Rainbow Middle School Students! Especially when you partner with Southside High School Southside FFA and Fifty Shades of Hay Farm!!

We hope some 8th graders have walked away with an interest in joining the FFA next school year!!
