The Cherokee Creek VFD is an all volunteer fire department, however we do have one fire firefighter that is paid to man the station Monday - Friday from 8am to 4pm. We respond to just over 500 calls for service per year.

🚨 Thank You to Little Creekers Preschool! 🚒🚑

We had an awesome time visiting with the students at Little Creekers Preschool! Thank you so much for having us out to share some important fire prevention knowledge and let everyone check out our fire trucks up close.

We love & appreciate the artwork, it is posted right in the lobby for all to check out!🖌

A special shout-out to our friends from CCEMS Medic 3 for joining in on the fun and helping share some essential safety tips with the kids as well!

Community partnerships like this make all the difference. Stay safe, everyone! 🧯✨

A Special Visit to The Eagle Academy! 🚒

The Cherokee Creek Fire Department would like to give a HUGE thank you to The Eagle Academy for having us out this past Friday!

We had an absolute blast teaching the students all about fire safety, showing them the equipment we use to stay safe, and giving everyone an up-close look at our fire truck!

The kids were fantastic listeners, asked great questions, and looked like real future firefighters in their fire hats!

Thank you again to the staff, teachers, and students at The Eagle Academy for welcoming us into your school! Stay safe, everyone! ❤️‍🔥

Last night the department held its annual meeting of the membership to fellowship with current and past members, and discuss the upcoming fiscal years budget. The department also held the annual election of fire commission board members filling a vacancy and and expired term seats. 2 were elected prior to the annual meeting due to vacancys and 1 last night. We would like to thank and formally recognize the 3 that were elected to fill those seats. Robert Foster, Pat Henderson and Christopher Mace.

Also during the meeting Chief Price appointed the departments officers for the 26/27 year during which several promotions were awarded. Weston Tennyson - Captain, Ethan Splawn - Sergeant, and Mike Hall - Safety Officer. We graciously would like to thank all of our officers for their dedication, time and service to the department.

We look forward to another great year of bettering the community in which we serve as well as continuing to make the Cherokee Creek Fire Department the best in the county.

Sharing from our friends in spartanburg county. We are often asked the question of why do so many fire trucks respond to 1 incident. Glendale FD helps to break it down for better understanding.

Thank you to all of out automatic & mutual aid partners!
