Full transparency. There is a post going around about the donations and expenditures regarding the party. Here is the reply that has been posted.
As treasurer of the Jackson County Republican Party, I welcome transparency. However, the description in this post is inaccurate.
The committee shown on WhoFundsTN is the Jackson County Republican Party’s registered campaign-finance committee—not a secret or separately operated PAC. It is how the party reports contributions and expenditures as required by Tennessee law.
The information being discussed covers activity from **February 8, 2025, through July 28, 2026**:
• **Total raised:** $10,511, including $3,842 in small, unitemized contributions
• **Total spent:** $7,098
• **Ending balance on the latest filing:** $3,431.57
WhoFundsTN broadly labels the spending as “operating costs and overhead.” In reality, these funds paid for Republican Party activities, community outreach and services from local businesses.
We advertise with the **Jackson County Sentinel**, purchase food for our monthly meetings from **Giovanni’s**, use **Gainesboro Ink** for printing and purchase flowers from **Fox Florist**. We believe in spending money locally whenever possible.
Our financial activity has also included:
• **$500 donated to the Share to Care Foundation’s Angel Tree project**
• **$1,000 sent through a nonprofit for hurricane relief in North Carolina**
• Support for local nonprofit events and our First Responders Breakfast
• Support for Republican campaigns at the state and national levels
The fact that WhoFundsTN says no money went to Tennessee candidates as “direct contributions” does not mean the funds were misused or did not support Republican efforts and our community. It simply describes one specific category of spending.
Our reports are filed publicly as required. There is nothing hidden here. Anyone with an honest question is welcome to contact the Jackson County Republican Party directly at **[email protected]**.
