This past weekend, our office joined local leaders and community members for a Town Hall Forum focused on Florida Amendment 3 and its potential impact on property taxes. Thank you to Nc100bwinc, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc., Greater Gainesville Chapter, and all participating partners for creating this opportunity for community education and discussion.

Your homesteaded property may have more than one taxable value.

Exemptions and assessment caps can apply differently by taxing authority, so the taxable value used for school taxes may differ from the value used for non-school taxes.

Understanding these differences can help you better understand your proposed property taxes.

Visit our website at www.acpafl.org for more information.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 10th Probate & Estate Planning Summit.

We appreciate our attorneys, community partners, volunteers, and every attendee who took the time to learn about estate planning, probate, and heirs' property.

Helping residents protect property ownership through education remains one of our office's top priorities.

Thank you for making another Summit a success.

We enjoyed spending time with our community’s seniors at Clarence R. Kelly Community Center and sharing helpful information about property ownership and the services available through our office.

During the visit, we discussed how our office serves property owners, exemptions available to seniors, heirs’ property and estate planning, understanding the TRIM Notice, and an overview of Florida Homestead Property Tax Amendment 3.

We look forward to visiting again soon!
