Emergency Physicians Medical Center We are fortunate to live in Alachua County which is home to Florida’s best medical facilities. Most results available in 15 minutes or less.

While area residents benefit from excellent health care, immediate access to doctors can be challenging/difficult/frustrating. People routinely use hospital emergency departments in place of primary care physicians when they become ill. Approximately 80% of patients seen in local emergency departments do not need to be admitted to the hospital and are treated and released. EPMC fills the niche in medical care between routine urgent care centers and hospital emergency departments by providing medical care for all but the most critically ill patients in a convenient and pleasant environment. Services include

Emergency care
On-site lab
IV fluids and medication
Digital x-rays
Ultrasound

Nothing kills the fall vibes quite like an accidental finger fillet. 😬

It happens more than you'd think. One slip of the carving knife and your festive night out turns into a scramble for paper towels. If the cut's deep, won't quit bleeding, or spreads open, that's stitch territory.

Good news: we patch up lacerations at both locations. So, save the scary faces for the porch. 🎃 We've got you if the knife slips.

It's National Face Your Fears Day, and we already know the one you've been dodging. 😨

That ache or odd twinge you've tracked for three weeks? A quick visit beats another night of doom-scrolling WebMD.

Come find out if it's nothing, or catch it early. Either way, you'll finally stop wondering.

Say hello to Duncan, the newest face on the EPMC crew. 👋

He's a seasoned paramedic who joined us in September, with a background as a special operations medic. Translation: he stays cool when things get loud.

Next time you're in, give him a wave. We're so glad to have him on the team!

Happy International Coffee Day to everyone running on fumes and cold brew. ☕

A little jitter after that fourth cup is normal. But a racing pulse that won't settle, brings on chest pressure, or leaves you dizzy is a different story, and worth getting looked at.

We run chest pain and cardiovascular evals right here, seven days a week. So enjoy the good stuff, and let us know if the buzz ever turns into something that doesn't feel right.

It's Ask a Stupid Question Day, so consider this your green light. "Is this worth coming in for?" "How do I know if it's actually broken?" "Should I be worried about this…thing?" 🤔

You've probably typed all three into a search bar at 2 am. 🔎 None of them are stupid, and none of them are better answered by Dr. Google. Come ask a real doctor instead—the door's open!

Labor Day is supposed to be the easy one—no big dinner to cook, no gifts to wrap, just a day off and a grill. 🍔 But between the flip-flop lawn mowing, the knife-slip at the cookout, and the "I've got this" home repair, it keeps us busier than you'd think.

If your long weekend goes sideways, we'll be here just in case. 😉

Happy Bacon Lovers Day! 🥓 Ate the whole plate of bacon? Respect.

That "food baby" and the heavy, burning feeling after? Usually just heartburn. But if it turns into chest pain that spreads, won't quit, or comes with sweating or shortness of breath, that's our cue, not something to tough out.

Don't play detective with chest pain. Walk in, and we'll take a look. 👀
