🐊💙🧡 Go Gators! Go Saints! 💙🧡🐊

The Santa Fe College Police Department was proud to join forces with the Alachua County Sheriff to provide a two-hour Self-Defense and Situational Awareness Class for the Florida Gators Gymnastics Team! 🤸‍♀️💪

These incredible student-athletes brought the same energy, enthusiasm, and determination to the class that they bring to the competition floor! They were excited, eager, engaged, and ready to learn!

Our goal was simple: Empower these young women with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to help keep themselves safe.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our law enforcement partners and spend time with such an outstanding group of athletes!

Strong. Confident. Empowered. 💪

🚀 A Spectacular Start to the Day!

The skies over Santa Fe College put on quite a show this morning!

Our officers captured this incredible view of a rocket’s glowing trail just before sunrise. This beautiful phenomenon, often called a “space jellyfish,” occurs when sunlight illuminates a rocket’s exhaust high above Earth.

Early morning patrols often have the best views! Wishing everyone a great day!🌅

🐊🎉 Go Gators! Go Saints!

The Santa Fe College Police Department was proud to participate in the annual University of Florida Homecoming Parade! 🚓

Officer Ty Bright had the honor of escorting the Santa Fe College Student Builders Association (SBA) float. Every year it is our honor to represent our institution in this way!

This morning the Santa Fe College Police Department spent time celebrating National Coffee with a Cop day meeting with students, staff and faculty. They shared more than coffee, donuts and cookies. They shared time, ideas and perspective.

Yesterday members of the Santa Fe College Police Department were honored to teach the SAFE Program to some of our Project SAINT students.
The 2 hour S.A.F.E. (Self-defense Awareness and Familiarization Exchange) is a unique two-hour educational program focused on crime-victim prevention. It equips teenage and adult women with strategies, techniques, and options to enhance personal safety. The program emphasizes mental and physical preparedness, providing practical public safety awareness that women can integrate into their daily lives.

There’s something special about a Sunday morning at Santa Fe. ☀️

As the sun comes up over campus, we often see members of our community out for an early walk, getting some exercise, or simply enjoying a little time for reflection before a new week begins.

Santa Fe College is more than a place to learn. It’s a beautiful part of our community, and we’re proud to help provide a safe and welcoming environment for our students, employees, visitors, and neighbors to enjoy.

From all of us at the Santa Fe College Police Department, enjoy your Sunday and have a safe and wonderful week ahead. 💙
