Having a facility in Hall County since 1952 and boasting 2,000 team members in Hall County, Pilgrim's is one of the country's top-volume chicken suppliers for retail and food service.

I joined the Georgia Poultry Federation, Gainesville Mayor Zack Thompson and State Senator Drew Echols for a tour of the amazing operation Pilgrim's operates here in Gainesville.

I'm amazed at their dedication to their team members, the quality of their food products, and how much this company loves Hall County!

I recently stood with a fellow Yellow Jacket, Dr. Bill Morrison, at the ribbon cutting of his newly renovated office, DePoe Eye Center, in Gainesville. Joining us was the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce as well as Dr. Adam DePoe and his family, showing his family's commitment to Dr. Morrison and Hall County.

It's awesome to see your friends grow their business and find continued success in our community. Especially those who can claim to be a third-generation optometrist, having followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, who started in 1915, his dad in 1948, and then he in 1975, resulting in over 100+ years of continuous eyecare from his family to the north Georgia community.

Never been in a picture with a confetti cannon, but this was AWESOME! What a thrill to share a ribbon cutting with this amazing healthcare provider who just opened a new autism therapy center in the 29th House District.

Hall County and all of north Georgia residents are going to be able to get treatment for their family, closer to home.

Healthcare access and personal independence should never be limited by outdated insurance rules.

For too long, many health plans would only cover a single prosthetic device, creating major barriers for amputees trying to work, stay active, and live their lives to the fullest. That is why I was proud to work alongside Alliance Prosthetics to pass House Bill 951, the "So Every BODY Can Move" bill.

This important legislation ensures that state health benefit plans cover medically necessary prosthetic and orthotic devices. It’s about giving people the full support they need to move, thrive, and get back on their feet. I will always fight for policies that improve healthcare access and quality of life for Georgians.

The work I’m most proud of has always been right here in our community.

From expanding medical training at NGHS so doctors build their roots locally, to championing accessible playgrounds where every child can play together, it’s about putting people first. It’s also about building stronger support systems through our accountability courts and fighting to cap property taxes so families aren't priced out of the homes they love.

Teachers are the backbone of our communities and shape the next generation every single day, which is why making sure they are supported and valued has always been a top priority of mine.

Throughout my time in office, I have been proud to advocate for our educators and help deliver five separate pay raises for teachers across our state.

Our teachers deserve leaders who stand with them every step of the way, and I will always work to ensure our schools have the resources and great educators they need to succeed.
