🦇 Gainesville is going batty for Bat Week! From October 24–31, celebrate these remarkable creatures and their important role in our ecosystem, with some uniquely Gainesville ways to join the fun.

Kick things off Saturday, October 24, at the Florida Bat Festival at Lubee Bat Conservancy. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., get an up-close look at some of the world's largest bats, along with wildlife exhibits, family activities, local vendors and more.

🌅 Then head to the UF Bat Houses across from Lake Alice, where hundreds of thousands of bats make their home. Arrive before sunset for a chance to watch their evening flight, weather permitting. The 2026 AVP Grass Nationals brings three days of competitive volleyball to the High Springs Sports Complex, October 23–25, with men's, women's and junior divisions competing for a share of the $21,000 prize purse.

With nearly 20 years of experience performing around the world, Mose headlines Ecstatic Events' one-year anniversary celebration for an outdoor evening of music, dance and community.
