Victim Services and R**e Crisis Center was established by the Alachua County BOCC and is funded by Alachua County ad valorem taxes to serve victims of crime. For many victims of interpersonal violence, the trauma of the crime does not go away so quickly. ACVSRCC seeks to lessen that emotional impact by offering experienced assistance and services to victims and their families. Our services are free, confidential, and available regardless of when the crime occurred or if it was ever reported to law enforcement. We serve victims of all forms of interpersonal violence, with additional emergency outreach services available for victims of sexual violence. For more information contact our 24 hour helpline at (352) 264-6760.

💜 Support is available 24/7

The Alachua County Victim Services & R**e Crisis Center offers free and confidential support for victims and survivors of sexual violence, including a 24-hour sexual assault recovery helpline.

📞 24-hour Sexual Assault Helpline: 352-264-6760

Services include:
• Crisis intervention and emotional support
• Sexual assault recovery and accompaniment
• Information about medical, reporting and safety options
• Ongoing support for survivors and their loved ones

As campus activities get underway, it’s also an important time to talk about consent and bystander intervention. Studies have found that students can face increased vulnerability to sexual violence during their first year of college. Consent must be freely and clearly given. If someone is too intoxicated to consent, seems unsure or expresses hesitation, stop and do not proceed.

If you see a situation that causes concern, safe bystander interventions can include checking in with someone, creating a distraction or contacting someone who can safely assist.
