In June and August, U.S. Rep. Byron Donalds submitted amendments to his financial disclosure forms. In doing so, he admitted that he has repeatedly failed to disclose the following:
His family’s home mortgage, valued “between $500,000 and $1 million” in 2024.
His and his children’s student loans, valued between $250,000-$500,000 in 2024.
His wife’s 401(k) open-end mutual fund, valued between $100,000-$250,000 in 2024.
And this is not the first time.
Back in 2024, Donalds was reported to the Office of Congressional ethics for allegedly failing to disclose 108 stock trades he and his wife made between 2022-2023.
The value of those stock trades? $1.6 million.
Donalds has also reportedly been in hot water with the FEC. The commission dinged Donalds in 2025 for running two simultaneous campaigns - one for re-election to his U.S. House seat and the other for Florida governor.
Donalds has yet to refund the contributions he made to his house re-election bid, and only formally halted his House campaign on August 6th.
Florida needs a governor who understands the economic needs of everyone in the state. Someone who will not use the position to enrich himself or his family, but rather make life better for all. A candidate who will work to lower grocery prices, utility bills, and fuel costs.
David Jolly is that candidate. A vote for Jolly is a vote for a better Florida.
Early voting starts on October 19th. For more information on how, where, and when to vote, visit votealachua.gov.
