Happy World Occupational Therapy Day!

Today, Galax City Public Schools recognizes and celebrates our occupational therapist and the meaningful impact she has on our students each day.

From supporting independence and participation to helping students develop the skills they need to learn, grow, and succeed, our OTs are an important part of our school community. We are grateful for their dedication, expertise, and commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.

Thank you, Kayla, for all that you do!

🎉 556 reasons to celebrate at GES! 🎉

Today was one of our favorite GES traditions—our First Quarter Awards Assemblies! ❤️🤍 We celebrated the hard work, growth, determination, and success our students have shown throughout the first nine weeks.

🏆 Kindergarten & 1st Grade: 174 awards & recognitions
🏆 2nd & 3rd Grade: 167 awards & recognitions
🏆 4th & 5th Grade: 215 awards & recognitions

That’s an amazing 556 awards and recognitions presented to our students today! 👏

And there’s even more to celebrate! The hard work of our students and staff has helped earn Galax Elementary the honor of being named a Distinguished School in Virginia! 🌟

Our students continue to show what it means to be GALAX READY: Be Here. Be Involved. Be Successful. And through it all, we remember to Always Be Kind and Respectful.

Congratulations to all of our First Quarter honorees! We are incredibly proud of you! 🌊❤️🤍
