During National Friends of the Library Week, we want to say a big thank you to our wonderful Friends of the Galena Park Library! The Friends of the Galena Park Library are an all-volunteer-run 501 (c) (3) organization.

Your hard work, dedication, and advocacy truly make a difference in our community. Thanks to your fundraising efforts, from the year-round “pay as you wish” book sale to plant and snack sales, we can support programs for all ages. You help provide food, supplies, and decorations that make every event special. We couldn’t do it without you!

We want to give special recognition to our amazing Friends President, Naomi, and Treasurer, Carol. For years, their steady support and leadership have helped make our library a real community hub. Naomi and Carol work hard to build connections and create a welcoming space for everyone. Thank you both for your dedication and for making our library a place where everyone feels at home.

Our Friends of the Galena Park Library members really do it all! A special shout-out to Cruz, one of our long-time members, who has spent six years teaching ESL classes. Your passion for helping others learn and grow shows what our library is all about. Thank you to all our Friends!

Join in the Friends fun at our next general membership meeting on Monday, November 2nd at 10 am.
