We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather for our bonfire! ☀️🍁 We enjoyed a wonderful time together with music by Marty Raymon, delicious apple turnovers generously donated by Walmart, and apple c***r to top it all off! 🍎🥧🎶

A big THANK YOU to Marty Raymon for providing the music, to Walmart for the yummy apple turnovers, and to Tim & Lynn Berning for the hay bales! We’re so grateful for the community support that helps make these special moments even sweeter. ❤️

Good weather, good music, tasty treats, and great company — what more could you ask for?! 🧡🔥🍂

We’re proud to celebrate our Employment Specialist, Kathy Thimmessch, for presenting at Integrated Employment Symposium!

Kathy shared the impact of our community employment program alongside Nathan DeLong, Illinois DRS Public Service Administrator, and Sharon Bergfeld, SWTCIE Community Research Specialist.

We are grateful for our partnership with the Illinois SWTCIE project and the opportunity to collaborate in advancing employment and creating meaningful career opportunities for individuals with disabilities in our community!

It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been part of our Workshop family. We are heartbroken by the loss of our friend, Heidi, and our hearts are with everyone who loved her.

Heidi was more than just a familiar face around The Workshop; she was part of our family. The memories we shared with her will always mean so much to us, and we feel incredibly grateful to have been part of her life. While we wish we could have more time with her, we will hold onto the memories, the moments, and the special place she will always have in our hearts.

Heidi, you will be missed more than words can say. Thank you for being part of our Workshop family. ❤️

Sending love, comfort, and heartfelt condolences to Heidi’s family and friends during this difficult time. Rest peacefully, sweet Heidi. 🕊️❤️

❤️ Remembering Our Friend, Edwin “Nubs” Cole ❤️

It is with heavy hearts that we remember our friend Edwin “Nubs” Cole, who was a familiar and friendly face to many at The Workshop. Nubs worked as a driver for Jo Daviess County Transit when it was operated by The Workshop, helping individuals get where they needed to go.

We were also fortunate enough to celebrate a very special milestone with him when he celebrated his 91st birthday with us at The Workshop! 🎂🎉 It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate him and the many memories he shared with our Workshop family.

We are grateful to have been part of Nubs’ life and to have shared so many special moments with him. He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, and our thoughts are with his family and friends during this time. ❤️

Rest peacefully, Nubs. Thank you for the memories. 🕊️
