Break yourself off a tasty little piece from our November Adult Program Calendar!

Please take note of our closures this month! The library will be closed on Wednesday the 11th, Thursday the 26th, and Friday the 27th. Additionally, our library hours will be reduced to 9:30AM to 5:00PM on Wednesday the 25th. Due to our closure on Wednesday the 11th in observance of Veterans Day, Coffee & Coloring will be moved to the following week!

While programs are light for this month, we're doing something new to make up for it! On Monday, November 16th from 5:00PM to 6:30PM, we'll be playing Minute to Win It style games! Compete against your friends in a battle of quick wits for a chance to earn small prizes in return! This program will be for adults ages 18+ only.

This calendar also features one of our staff members foolproof turkey cooking methods for an extra juicy and flavorful main course, and a sneak peek at what we have planned for our Holiday Open House!

This is a reminder that our Adult Craft Night is NEXT WEEK! Due to limited supplies, this program is only for adults ages 18+.

On Wednesday, October 21st from 5:00PM to 6:30PM, we'll tap into our creative spirit to craft an adorably spooky Beanie Baby Taxidermy piece. If you don't have the heart to take a pair of scissors to a plushie, fret not, for it is certainly not required to complete this craft!

We will have many, MANY Beanie Babies for you to choose from, so one is sure to speak to your soul. Once you've selected your subject, you'll pick a backing board, fabric, lace and/or ribbon trim, and get to work! The rest is all up to you. Get crafty! Add any beads, pompoms, lace, or ribbon you'd like to make your taxidermy piece your own.

There is no sign-up required for this program, but we will operate on a first come, first serve basis, meaning that we will form a line to claim our Beanie Babies. Doors will open at 4:50PM to allow you to get settled in and gather your supplies before we begin crafting!

Tomorrow @ 5:30pm!
{STEAM Ahead (K-5) will be doing its first duo-session. Inside we will be exploring cottage core science & then we will go outside to learn about harvesting!}

*If you have any fresh & local produce you would like to donate/bring to the farm to table harvest portion of our session it would be greatly appreciated! We will be teaching our little scientists the steps to harvesting as well as how it gets to our table. How cool would it be for our scientists to learn that it's not just a faraway story, but something that is real & right here in our community?

Our Pumpkin Carving Party is TOMORROW!!! Bring your family and friends! Bonus points if you dress up in costume!

HUGE shoutout and thank you to Smith’s Country Corner for supplying our pumpkins again this year! We just received our delivery for tomorrow, and they are gorgeous as always! Thank you as well to The Pickwick Place for donating four gallons of their delicious apple c***r for us to enjoy! 😊💝

Mark your calendars, Galion! Our Pumpkin Carving Party is officially just one month away!! YAY!

We'll supply you with a pumpkin of your picking and all the tools you need to hollow out and carve it to life! Will you make your porch fiend spooky, goofy, or kooky? The path you choose is up to you! When you're done carving, your new pumpkin friend goes home with you...for the rest of its life!!! 🎃👻

For the little kid crowd, we'll also have washable paint for them decorate their frightful gourd instead.

All ages are welcome at this event! Please be advised that youth ages 17 and under are required to be accompanied by a present adult for the duration of the program.

Tonight Fall Lego Club is in session! Drop-In at 4:30pm to create an epic build with family & friends.
* BONUS: The Fall book sale is also underway during this time. Parents & Children are free to look through the book sale and grab some great finds!

Last week for story time we read, "There are no ants in this book" By Rosemary Mosco and illustrated by Anna Pirolli. We painted ant trails and crawled through our own ant tunnels.
