🔎 Beyond Google: Try Library Databases for Your Research

Google can be a helpful starting point, but library databases can help you find more reliable sources for your assignments.

The Library provides access to thousands of articles, journals, newspapers, and other resources that you may not find through a regular Google search. You can use database search tools to narrow your results and find information that fits your research topic.

📚 Need a quiet place to study or work on a group project? Reserve a Library Study Room.

GC students can reserve library study rooms for group discussions, study sessions, and research activities. Each room includes a whiteboard, tables and chairs, power outlets, and a rotating fan.

Study rooms can be reserved in advance for up to 3 hours at a time, twice per day. To reserve a room, select an available (green) time slot online, submit your reservation, agree to the terms and conditions, and complete the reservation form.

Please arrive within 15 minutes of your reservation time to avoid automatic cancellation. When you arrive, bring your GC ID to the Circulation Desk to request room access.

Dolly loved libraries, and libraries loved her back 📚💔

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, not only a talented musician, but also a true titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library has received multiple Library of Congress Literacy Awards and, in 2018, Dolly visited us to donate the program’s 100 millionth book to our collection. She even hosted story time. 🦋❤️
