Lighthouse Charity Team The Lighthouse Charity Team is a non-profit 501(c) 3 Non-Profit Organization. The Lighthouse Charity Team is a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization.

We provide equipment and volunteer labor to prepare meals to raise funds for charitable organizations and those in need. These groups incur only the costs of the food and products used for the event, allowing them to receive the benefit of 100% of profits. Our team, located on the Texas Gulf Coast, consists of dedicated volunteers. We are individuals and families who live and work in the area joined by business owners who come together in friendship and commitment to meet the needs of others. Utilizing 13 state-of-the-art, custom, portable trailers along with many other pieces of equipment that support the needs of a successful event, the team consistently delivers quality products and beneficial results. Operating capital is received through the personal finances of our team members, through individual donations and sponsors from the local area. “Over the years, LCT has grown bigger and more rewarding than we could have ever imagined when we started in 1984. Without our dedicated volunteers and sponsors, none of this would be possible”. The Lighthouse Charity Team works in conjunction with other Non-Profits such as the American Red Cross, Gleanings From The Harvest dba Galveston County Food Bank, and other non-profits. The Galveston Food Bank even shares our Galveston location building with us! The Lighthouse Charity Team is available to: Individuals, Businesses, Emergency Responders, Utility Companies, Refinery’s and others in time of need.

We love cooking at the Lighthouse Charity Team, and when possible, we love cooking with fresh herbs!

We’d like to thank the Galveston County Master Gardeners and specially Lynne Slaton for helping us establish our fresh herb garden.

We have sweet basil, thyme, cilantro, oregano and even some jalapeno peppers.

The Galveston County Master Gardener’s operates out of the Agricultural Extension building at Carbide Park in La Marque and is supported by the Galveston County Commissioners Court. Go check them out!

Individual seats are available, starting at $200 per person, and we’d absolutely love to have you there!

A whole lot of shrimp—and even more heart.

This Saturday, Lighthouse Charity Team fired up the pots in Texas City, preparing shrimp boil with corn and potatoes in support of the Shriners music festival.

A special thank-you to Mike Landry, our “Gray Hat” in charge of this event, and Deidre. These two work tirelessly for Lighthouse Charity Team and are always there when there’s work to be done. Mike and Deidre, we are grateful for your leadership, your time, and the heart you put into serving our community.

Thank you to every volunteer who helped with preparation, cooking, serving, and cleanup. Each of you helped make this day possible.

Lighthouse’s commitment reaches throughout Galveston County. We’re proud to support our fellow organizations, bring neighbors together, and lend a hand where it’s needed.
