Last night was was an exciting evening for the Gap Volunteer Fire Company as we proudly welcomed our new 2026 E-ONE CR-100 Cyclone aerial ladder truck to its new home!
We were honored to have our neighboring departments—including the Pequea Valley Fire Department, Christiana Fire Company, and White Horse Fire Company—stop by to get a first look at the new Ladder 42. We greatly appreciate their support and the camaraderie that makes the fire service so special.
Over the coming weeks, our members will be hard at work mounting equipment, completing training, and preparing Ladder 42 for frontline service to our community.
While this new apparatus represents a significant investment in public safety, it would not have been possible without the continued support of our members, our local businesses, and especially the municipal leaders of Salisbury Township. Their vision, partnership, and commitment to protecting our community have been instrumental in making this life-saving addition a reality. We are sincerely grateful for their confidence in our mission and their dedication to the safety of our residents.
Ladder 42 proudly replaces our 2002 E-ONE HP-100, which faithfully served our community for the past 24 years. We thank that truck for decades of dependable service and look forward to continuing its legacy with this new apparatus.
Please join us in welcoming the newest member of our fleet at our Housing Ceremony and Open House on Saturday, September 12, 2026. We look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with our community!
