Incarceration alone may not address the challenges that can contribute to someone’s involvement with the justice system.

EAC Network’s alternatives-to-incarceration (ATI) programs provide pathways that combine accountability with access to treatment, services, and resources that can help individuals move forward. By addressing underlying needs and preparing people for life beyond the justice system, these programs can help create stronger pathways back into the community.

We want to emphasize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to justice, and meaningful change can begin when people have access to the right resources and opportunities.

When a child goes missing, every moment matters, and finding them is only the beginning of making sure they are safe and supported.

In a recent Long Island rescue operation, New York State Governor Kathy Hochul announced that 34 missing children and teens were located, with EAC Network supporting the operation through our Nassau and Suffolk Child Advocacy Centers and Safe Harbour programs. These programs bring together law enforcement, child welfare professionals, medical providers, and victim advocates through a multidisciplinary approach to provide children facing difficult or unsafe circumstances with access to the care and protection they need.

Through this collaborative approach, EAC Network helps turn community partnerships into meaningful solutions that put the well-being of children first.

For someone struggling with substance use, recovery can be especially challenging when substance use remains part of the environment around them.

At New Path Treatment Center, individuals have a place to step away from those influences and work toward healthier ways of coping, managing triggers, and preventing relapse. And for many, support doesn’t end when treatment requirements are complete. As Arnold shared, many continue attending group sessions after probation or parole to stay connected and keep building their recovery skills.

New Path provides a community where individuals can find support not only in getting sober but in learning how to maintain their recovery. Visit https://eac-network.org/new-path-treatment-center/ to learn more about the recovery support and services available at New Path Treatment Center.

What does EAC Network’s Treatment Alternatives for Safer Communities (TASC) Program actually do?

TASC works with individuals involved in the justice system to address substance use and other barriers that can make it difficult to move forward. Through personalized treatment planning, counseling, case management, and connections to community resources, individuals can receive support that meets them where they are.

By focusing on treatment, stability, and continued support, TASC helps individuals work toward healthier futures while strengthening the communities around them. Learn more about EAC Network’s TASC Program at https://eac-network.org/suffolk-tasc/

EAC Network was proud to join the Health & Welfare Council of Long Island (HWCLI) for its 2026 Endless Summer Soirée!

The annual fundraising gala brings together nonprofit leaders, business leaders, advocates, and community partners to celebrate those working to address challenges across Long Island and build stronger communities.

The evening was especially meaningful as we continue to strengthen our connection with the Health Empowerment Alliance of Long Island (HEALI), led by HWCLI, which works closely with EAC Network’s Social Care Network program. Through these partnerships, we’re helping connect individuals and families to the resources and services they need.

Thank you to HWCLI for bringing the Long Island community together for an evening of celebration and shared commitment to making a difference!
