The Eighth Grade Capstone Project is the exciting final presentation before our eighth graders graduate from our school! It gives students the chance to dive into something they’ve always wanted to learn, explore a new passion, or sharpen a skill they already love. Throughout the year, they research, practice, create, and grow before proudly presenting everything they’ve learned at the end of the year. It’s an awesome way for students to showcase their hard work, creativity, and individuality as they prepare for their next big adventure!

In our laboratory classroom, Jess serves as the dedicated teacher who skillfully introduces songs to the children. When she guides them through the learning process and the entire group sings together, the result is a remarkably pure and sweet collective sound that highlights the power of shared musical expression in early education.
This activity not only builds musical skills and memory but also nurtures emotional connection, social harmony, and a joyful sense of community among the students.
Yesterday marked the last day of school, and hearts were full as everyone watched the swirl of emotions unfold. Some kids buzzed with excitement for summer, while others felt a quiet sadness at saying goodbye. In the end, the hallways filled with tight hugs, tears, and tender moments shared between students and teachers alike.
It was a beautiful reminder of how deeply they mean it when they say they are crew. These bonds aren’t just words—they’re real, and that’s why leaving feels so emotional every time.
Here’s to cherishing this special year and looking forward with hope and excitement to the next one. ❤️
The crew had an unforgettable surprise when came to school to give an exciting hot air balloon demonstration! The kids got to watch up close as the giant balloon slowly filled with air and came to life right before their eyes. This special experience connected perfectly with the Capital Educators reading program from last fall, and we were thrilled to be one of only three schools selected for the demonstration! Thank you for all the time and effort that you put into our school—it truly made a difference.
Our first grade crew had an unforgettable horse adventure led by one of their very own classmates! Together, the students learned about horses while getting the chance to pet and ride them, and for some, it was their very first time ever being on a horse. It was such a fun and educational experience that helped build confidence, curiosity, and teamwork all in one exciting day!
This week, our first-grade students enjoyed a memorable bike ride from Anser Charter School to a nearby local park!
