Short Term rentals open grounds for criminals to use them for illegal gamblings, prostitution, and wild/drug parties. That's why Garden Grove City Council unanimously voted to ban short-term rentals in 2019. Since then GG Police and code enforcement effectively implemented measures that have drastically reduced short-term rentals in Garden Grove.

In my quest to understand candidate's position on key issues, I ran across the LA Times report which stated "Councilman Ted Bui, who along with his council colleagues Michael Vo and Glenn Grandis, voted to pursue having short-term rentals permitted in the city", LA Times. Short-term rentals generate a lot of $, though no one want it in their neighborhood. We need to consider this fact before casting a vote to send him to Sacramento.
