Acacia promotes healthy living for older adults and other individuals that need daytime assistance.
•1976: A group from the United Methodist Church proposed opening a community Adult Day Care program to the City of Garden Grove who in turn wrote the pilot project funding grant to the Office on Aging. Once they were awarded the grant, they hired staff to organize and operate a program.
•1979: The Garden Grove Adult Day Care Center opened its doors at the United Methodist Church on Main Street in

🎉 September was full of fun at Healthy Aging Center Acacia. We celebrated National Adult Day Services Week with a series of themed days including Western, Disney, Safari (complete with a petting zoo 🐾), Carnival 🎪 with face painting, and even a Prom 👑 where we crowned our very own King and Queen!
Our participants had a blast enjoying the activities, games, and prize giveaways throughout the week. ❤️
