Tip of the day: "Speak well and thoroughly. Try to cultivate a good speaking voice. Don’t speak in slang and clean up your use of “Like,” “Um,” “You know,” and “Prolly” (for probably). Don’t swear. Speak clearly and enunciate so your clients can understand you."
Tip of the day: "Don’t talk about clients behind their backs. Confidentiality isn’t just for doctors and lawyers. Keep your clients’ business to yourself. Don’t talk about clients with other clients, and don’t discuss them at industry events."
Tip of the day: "Communicate early and often. If you run into major problems with a project, or a commitment you made, first do everything you can to get things back on track without involving the customer. However, if you just have to tell the customer that it won’t be ready, then tell them early, not on the day they were expecting it due. As soon as you know there is a major problem, contact the client and let them know the situation."
Tip of the day: "Be polite. Whenever you speak to clients, be polite. Say, “Please,” and “Thank you.” Address people professionally as Mr. or Mrs. X, unless they ask you to call them by their first name. Use good phone manners. Don’t be rude to people and treat even the most trying client politely."
Tip of the day: "Don’t make excuses! Clients don’t care why you’re having problems with their order. They don’t want to know that your kids got sick, or the car broke down, or your mother called and kept you on the phone for three hours last night. If something goes wrong, it’s fine to mention the source of the delay as long as you are being honest with them."
Tip of the day: "Honor your commitments. If you say you’ll have the project done by Friday, or be at work by 2:00, than have it done by Friday and be at work by 2:00. Don’t be late. When making promises, don’t promise anything you cannot deliver because it will come back to bite you."
Tip of the day: "Know your manners! Don't use cell phones during meetings or conversations. Technology is great, however, more than ever it is becoming difficult to set aside the phone and become truly involved in your interactions with others. It is rude to be constantly checking your phone. Be aware of this, and put the cell phone away."

Happy Friday! Our case manager of the day is Jimmy but what is more important is that Sgt. Leslie Riggs (dinosaur) and Sgt. Leo Mortaugh (pony) are out solving crime at our front desk. Come visit them ( and us, of course!) to learn more about how our program can help you!
Tip of the day: "Use social media wisely! It usually recommended not to add anyone from work to your personal online active sites. This is not because you have anything to hide but most times you want to let your hair down online. Avoid whining about work, clients, colleagues or bosses on social media tools. Once it is out there, you can’t take it back."
Tip of the day: "Stay Calm. It is almost inevitable that conflict may arise with colleagues or clients. You will meet rude and obnoxious people at work or business. If someone disrespects you or picks on you, make it a conscious effort not to lose your cool. Your goal is to always remain professional. If you need to step away from a situation about to turn ugly, then walk away. You have that choice."
Tip of the day: "Watch Your Mouth: Swearing, cursing or cussing—whatever you call it—has no place at work, particularly if those who might be offended by it are present."
