Gardner Senior Center The Gardner Council on Aging mission consists of three core responsibilities. Identify the needs of the communities elderly population.

Greater Gardner Chair City Chapter AARP 3237 meeting yesterday afternoon!

We were happy to welcome Lauren Saunders, Director of Public Health for the city of Gardner as well as Tamara Bedard, Public Health Nurse Consultant, for a great discussion on the operations and responsibilities of the Board of Health and Public Health professionals.

Today at our monthly Vet-to-Vet Café here at the Senior Center!🎖️

Veterans gathered for a delicious lunch, great conversation, and the chance to connect with fellow servicemembers.

Thank you to Allyson Chalapatas, Director of Business Development at Senior Helpers of Fitchburg, for putting together such a fantastic program. We are so grateful for our partnership with Senior Helpers of Fitchburg, an organization that has a VA contract and also provides extensive veteran services!

Another special thank you to Amy Maguy of the Gardner CAC for the delicious meal!

Join us at any one of these FREE workshops to learn more about what’s happening in 2027 including but not limited to:
Potential changes in benefits and eligibility for Medicare Advantage, Part D and insurance plans and coverage
Prescription drug costs and coverage
Premiums, deductibles, and other expenses

Join us in support of the Gardner CAC with a community food drive🛒🥫🤝

Next month, November 7 and November 8 from 8:00am - 12:00pm in front of Hannaford Supermarkets in Gardner!

The CAC accepts unexpired, unopened, non perishable foods. They are in need of cereal, mac and cheese, pb&j, tuna, pasta, spaghetti sauce, canned veggies and fruit, soups, canned heat and eat meals.

We encourage you to join in and contribute whatever you can! Every bit helps make a difference.
