🧠 World Mental Health Day 🧠

Today is a reminder that understanding, patience, and compassion can make a meaningful difference.

The Gardner Police Department’s Blue Envelope Program and awareness stickers help alert first responders that someone may benefit from additional time, clearer communication, or a different approach during an interaction.

These tools are designed to reduce stress, improve communication, and help create safer interactions for individuals with autism or other communication needs, their families, and first responders.

To learn more or request a Blue Envelope or awareness sticker, contact the Gardner Police Department.

Learning beyond the classroom! 🚓

Last month, Sergeant Stimatze and Captain Hayes welcomed a local homeschool group to the Gardner Justice Center for a behind-the-scenes tour. The students explored the facility, learned about police equipment and vehicles, and discovered more about how our officers serve the community.

We always enjoy connecting with young people and giving them an inside look at public safety!
