Maybe THIS is how it’s supposed to be… agencies all working together to get violent criminals off the streets. Here one provided chopper support, we PIT the vehicle, everyone chased, and another officer tased the suspect. Male in custody. A male wanted for domestic violence, parole violation, and fleeing from other agencies.

Big thanks to Ohio State Highway Patrol, Ohio Investigative Unit, and CPD for being part of this successful apprehension. We have such great partners in our area; all dedicated to protecting our citizens and holding criminals accountable. God bless you all, great work!

These males were on our radar for overnight car break-ins when a fantastic citizen called us yesterday stating he saw them passing a weapon back and forth while walking in the E.131st area. We had our DFR in the area in a couple minutes and were able to watch the two from 400 feet without detection. Officers surveilled them for about 9 minutes while they gathered assets and positioned themselves for the inevitable foot pursuit.

✅Two juveniles in custody
✅Successful K9 bite
✅Recovered .22 R***e (stolen in a burglary)

This one had a little bit of everything, but the most valuable asset was our resident giving us the heads up. Thank you for being part of the team, sir! Great work all around!

The National Institute of Justice found 50% of crashes in police pursuits occurred in the first 2 minutes, with 70% occurring within 6 minutes.*

This subject fled from our officers in the morning hours of September 5th. They used an intervention technique at just over a minute and a half into the pursuit. Three were arrested without injury.

The driver had a stolen fi***rm (taken in an aggravated robbery). He was charged with weapons offenses, receiving stolen property, and fleeing and eluding. Both passengers had multiple warrants and were delivered to other agencies.

We have an obligation to take violent criminals off our streets. The safest way to do that is to end pursuits as soon as possible through intervention. Our officers are trained and equipped to do just that. The safety and well-being of our residents will always be our top priority.

Great work team, keep it up.

On 8/31/26, Detectives were investigating a stolen vehicle that was traveling in our city overnight. During surveillance they observed multiple drug transactions resulting in two traffic stops. This led to a search warrant on a house where the following items were located:

• 9 fi***rms
• 50 grams of m**h
• 5 grams of fentanyl
• Mushrooms and various pills

Two males were arrested for weapons and drug trafficking charges, and two others were arrested on felony drug warrants out of Medina County. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.

Great work by all! Friendly reminder, we’re always watching…👀

At 11:10 PM on 8/19/26, GH Officers located an entered stolen vehicle out of Cleveland Heights traveling south on Turney in our city. The vehicle immediately fled from Officers who pursued the vehicle through Maple Heights and back through Garfield Heights. Officers used PIT maneuvers several times only for the driver to take increasingly dangerous and reckless actions to continue to evade capture. Ultimately, the suspect struck another vehicle at Turney and McCracken where his vehicle became disabled and he was apprehended. Thankfully the two occupants of the vehicle that was struck were unharmed.

In addition to having possession of a stolen car, 27 year-old Daquan Martin of Cleveland (pictured below) had active felony warrants for Parole Violation and Aggravated Vehicular Assault. He was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Felony Fleeing and Eluding, and numerous traffic violations. He is currently being held without bond.

Our mission is clear; to keep criminals like this off our streets.
