Celebrating Jacob’s 5 years at Able to Serve! 🎉

Join us in celebrating Jacob’s 5-year work anniversary with ATS! As our Director of Programs and Marketing, Jacob brings a deep passion for our participants, an incredible attention to detail, and a dedication to making sure everything runs smoothly.

We are so grateful for all the hard work, care, and commitment he brings to ATS. He plays such an important role in our organization, and we couldn’t do what we do without him!

Thank you, Jacob, for five wonderful years! 💙💛

We would like to give a big thank you to Meredith, owner of Molly Maid Cleaning Services, for visiting ATS this past week!

Meredith shared about her career and what it looks like to own and operate a cleaning business. Our participants had the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the responsibilities of running a company, and explore what a career in the cleaning industry can offer.

We are so grateful for community partners who take the time to share their knowledge and introduce our participants to different career paths and opportunities!

Thank you, Meredith, for investing your time in our participants! 💙

Who doesn’t love some good old-fashioned hymns!? We certainly do💛

We are grateful to the Joyful Noise Choir of Aversboro Road Baptist Church for blessing up with their gift of music! It allowed us to slow down and reflect on the goodness of God.

Our participants were so blessed by your visit and we are grateful for your time and talents 💙💛

When it comes to serving others, our participants excel! 💛💙

Through Backpack Buddies, our participants have an opportunity to give back to the community by packing food bags for families in need. We are grateful to partner with Mid-Day Rotary Club, who provides the supplies to make this outreach possible. Throughout the year, volunteer teams also join us to help pack bags and serve alongside our participants.

Recently, the Mid-Day Rotary Club of Garner joined us for a packing day, and we were so glad to have them serve alongside us!

Chris, an instructor at ATS, shared why Backpack Buddies is such a meaningful part of our program:

“Backpack Buddies is, to me, one of my favorite activities at Able to Serve. It gives us an opportunity nearly every week out of the year to provide outreach to our community and, along with our Rotary Club, provide significant impact to families in need. It allows the core values of our program to shine on others.”

We are proud of our participants for the joy they bring to serving others and grateful for the community partners and volunteers who make opportunities like Backpack Buddies possible! We also would like to thank Lord of Life Lutheran Church for providing the space to prepare the bags!

We want to give a special shoutout to one of our participants, Cole!

A few weeks ago, one of our participants, Cole, was inducted into the South Raleigh Civitan Club! As you can see from the big smile on his face, he was excited to be part of this special moment. We are so proud of Cole for stepping into this new opportunity to serve and connect with his community!

One of ATS’s core values is being community-minded, and we love seeing our participants use their gifts and abilities to get involved beyond our walls. The South Raleigh Civitan Club is dedicated to serving Garner and surrounding communities, and we are grateful that Cole now has the opportunity to be part of that service.

Thank you to South Raleigh Civitan- for being an amazing community partner and for giving our participants opportunities to serve!
