🎃🍬 Help Us Treat Our little Railroaders! 🍬🎃

Garrett High School's annual Trick-or-Treat event for J.E. Ober Elementary students is coming up, and we need your help to make it extra sweet!

We're inviting local businesses and families to donate sealed, store-bought candy that our GHS students can hand out to our elementary students during this fun tradition!

🍭 Want to donate? Contact the Garrett High School office or simply drop off your candy donations at the high school's main office.

Thank you for helping us make this a fun and memorable experience for our youngest Railroaders! 🚂🧡

💙💛 CHARACTER COUNTS WEEK 💛💙

The entire district has been focused on the importance of the Six Pillars of Character: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring, and Citizenship!

The week of October 19-23 , we’re celebrating with a fun Spirit Week to bring these values to life and remind our students that character matters- in the classroom, in our community, and in everything we do.

Character Counts at GKB!

Reminder, there is no school for the rest of this week!

Enjoy your Fall Break!

🚂 Strong Together, Driven Forward.

Throughout the 2026-27 school year, Garrett-Keyser-Butler will recognize outstanding staff members who exemplify our monthly Character Counts pillars.

September’s pillar was FAIRNESS, with honorees receiving the Silver Railroad Spike in recognition of their commitment to this important character trait.

Each recipient will carry the tradition forward by selecting a fellow GKB employee who demonstrates the following month’s Character Counts pillar.

Congratulations to our September honorees Todd Nodine (J.E. Ober), Alex Saxer (GMS), Shannon Swonger (GHS) and Jennifer Kennedy (GKB District)
