Loved visiting 21C yesterday. The staff is really pushing hard to help all students succeed. I heard about our tutoring program (no opt out, no early dismissal because we know students need our support and we are there for them). I listened to teachers agreeing to hold all students to the same high standards.
And, several students came up to me to share their current successes.
Big K told me he was enjoying his college accounting class and that several colleges are recruiting him. He will complete a full year of college before graduating next May, too. That’s a BIG deal! He’s a scholar and athlete. And, he’s one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
Jaden caught up to me in the hallway. He shared he’s completing an associate degree this year (he’s a junior) and will return his senior year to earn a third year of college before graduating from 21C. He’s also planning ahead and plans to earn a master’s.
These are terrific stories. Truth! Our students are special. Our staff is special. We are all in for our community. Love this!
