There are fifteen new bestsellers, seventeen new movies, one new audiobook, seven new music CDs, 59 new children's books, and 311 other new books, including 312 that are available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "Strangers: A Memoir of Marriage," "A Parade of Horribles," and "Take Me to Your Leader: Perspectives on Your First Alien Encounter." The new movies this week include "Hoppers," "Star Wars: Original Trilogy," and "Scott Pilgrim Takes Off: The Complete Limited Series [Blu-ray]."

We’ve been enjoying the official start of Summer Reading here at the Union Road Branch Library! We danced, shook shaker eggs, used ribbons during our UR Rockin’ program. We had a special Storytime with Leah Ammons of New Hope Elementary! We enjoyed her singing, and storytelling. Thank you, Ms. Ammons!

The new bestsellers this week include "Ironwood," "Our Perfect Storm," and "The Things We Never Say." The new movies this week include "Avatar: Fire and Ash," "Reminders of Him," and "Goat."

We kicked off our annual Summer Reading Program soft opening with a special visit from Ms. Shatterly from W.A. Bess Elementary! Thank you for a wonderful Storytime!

As a reminder all GCPL will be closed on Monday May 25th, 2026 for Memorial Day. We will re open on Tuesday May 26th, 2026 at 10 AM.
