Another NCTCA Summit is in the books and WOW--- Gaston County shined! Our prosecution team brought home first place! Out of 5 Spirit Awards given to those who are friendly, outgoing, and sportsmanlike-and voted on by their peers- three were awarded to Gaston County team members. Our students make me so proud with their hard work and professional behavior, both in and out of the courtroom.
To add a bit more shine on the Gaston County reputation, a former Gaston County Teen Court attorney was invited to be the keynote speaker at Summit. She made us all look good.
I don't know about the rest of the counties, but here in Gaston, Teen Court is such a community effort that these awards belong to the entire Courthouse and beyond. Thanks to everyone who pours into this program and these students. We are honored, once a year, to get to show the rest of the state how well it is done here! Special thanks to Judge Holden Clark and Judge Donald Rice for training our team.

🚓🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes – National First Responders Day 🇺🇸🚒🚑

Today, on National First Responders Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who answer the call every day — police officers, firefighters, EMTs, paramedics, dispatchers, and all who dedicate their lives to keeping our community safe.

At the Gastonia Police Department, we’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our fellow first responders here in Gaston County and across the nation. Courage, compassion, and commitment make a difference every single day.

To all who serve — thank you for your sacrifice and dedication.
If you see a first responder today, take a moment to say thank you.
