Today, I was honored to attend Classroom Central and witness the recognition of an esteemed educator. Heather Brown, affiliated with Rankin Elementary, shed pride on Gaston County by emphasizing the critical role of community support in public education, requiring investment, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to ensure every child’s success. As she eloquently stated, “It takes more than a village to support public schools…it takes a community willing to invest, advocate, and stand steady so every child has the chance to make it all the way across those monkey bars.” Please accept congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and best wishes to you and your students.
