Tuesday Tip: MAT teams

A multipartisan assistance team, or MAT, is appointed by a county board of elections to aid voters who live in assisted living facilities. A team can help voters register, request absentee-by-mail ballots, serve as absentee witnesses, and perform other duties as authorized under NC election law.
