Black Bear Ridge

This is a great time of year to come to the Smokies! The winter views are great and this year the temps are pretty moderate!

As you know, there has been some horrible wildfire devastation to Gatlinburg and to the Cobbly Nob area. Black Bear Ridge has survived with only minor damage from a downed tree. There were very strong winds as well fire. Please pray for our mountain friends and neighbors who lost everything and who are trying to rebuild. Authorizies are still fighting small fires from downed power lines. We have received word that the city of Gatlinburg will allow access to mountain areas by owners, renters and repair crews now and to the general public starting December 6th.

Most of the fires are in town and south of town. Our cabin is north of town. Although it is currently safe, until the state of emergency is lifted, we do not recommend traveling to the area. Contact CabinFever Vacations to cancel your reservations.
