No one should have to choose between filling a prescription and paying for groceries, rent, or utilities. But for some of our neighbors, that choice is very real.
Medications can be essential for managing chronic conditions, preventing complications, and simply feeling well enough to get through everyday life.
At the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, we help remove barriers to care by providing medication assistance when our neighbors need a little extra support.
This week, your $5 can be part of that support.

🦷 $5 Friday: When Dental Problems Can't Wait
Sometimes it's no longer about prevention.
A tooth breaks. Pain starts suddenly. An infection develops. And you realize you need dental care, but you aren't sure where to go or how you're going to afford it.
That's where the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center can help.
While we don't provide dental treatment at our clinic, we can help connect our neighbors with dental providers and resources in the community. When possible, we can also provide financial assistance to help make needed care more accessible.
Because when you're already hurting, figuring out where to turn shouldn't be another source of pain.

Thanks to the generosity of Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, GPOC has free adult and youth dental kits available to help support good dental hygiene. 💗 Special $10 Friday: Breast Cancer Awareness 💗
This week, we're making a special $10 ask for a very special reason.
For some women, something as simple as the cost of gas can become a barrier to getting a potentially lifesaving mammogram.
A $10 donation helps provide gas cards so local women can get to their screening appointments.
Early detection gives families more time, more treatment options, and more hope. No one should have to choose between filling their gas tank and protecting their health.
💗 This week, consider giving $10 instead of $5. Together, we can help remove one more barrier to early detection.

Living with a chronic health condition doesn't end when you leave the doctor's office.
Diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, and other ongoing conditions often require daily attention. Medications, monitoring, healthy food, regular appointments, and access to reliable health information all play a part in staying well.
For neighbors already managing tight budgets or limited resources, those everyday needs can become barriers to good health.
That's where the Geneseo Parish Outreach Center can help.
Whether it's connecting someone with resources, helping them better understand their health, providing access to basic health checks, or offering support when another need gets in the way of their care, we're here to help our neighbors take the next step.
