✈️HONOR FLIGHT ✈️
On Saturday June 13th, Deputy Andrew Murphy and Sergeant Zach Scott had the pleasure of escorting two Livingston County veterans to the Rochester Airport for their Honor Flight! Deputy Murphy escorted Army Veteran John Hunter and his chaperone, Michelle Henry. Sergeant Scott escorted Air Force Veteran Larry Campbell and his son, Tim Campbell.
Thank you John and Larry for your service to our Country! ⭐

On Friday, June 12th, 2026, 5th-grade students from the York Central School District celebrated their DARE graduation. This group of hardworking students spent the last several months with their School Resource Deputy Rebecca Kane, learning about topics such as the facts and health effects of alcohol and to***co, stress, peer pressure, helping others, being responsible, and bullying.
Each DARE student celebrated this accomplishment by receiving their certificate of completion.
Also in attendance for today's graduation were Chief Deputy Dan Rittenhouse and Captain Ryan Swanson.
Congratulations to all of the graduates from York Central School, and keep up the hard work!

Today we highlight Chief Deputy Galvin!
Chief Deputy Galvin began his career with the Sheriff's Office in October of 2000 working in Court Security. In 2001, he attended the Rural Police Training Academy (GCC). In 2002, Chief Deputy Galvin began working in Corrections and worked his way up through the ranks. He held several roles, which included Corporal, Sergeant, Captain, and ended in his current position as Chief Deputy of the Correctional Services Bureau. In addition to his current roles, Chief Deputy Galvin is a certified General Topics Instructor, Fi****ms Instructor, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Instructor, Police Response to Active Attacker Instructor, and a Sniper Observer Instructor. He is also certified through DCJS for Mounted Patrol and SWAT.
Chief Deputy Galvin graduated from Mount Morris School in 1994. He completed internships with the Mount Morris Police Department and the Livingston County Sheriff's Office. As Chief Deputy Galvin is preparing for his retirement in 2027, he enjoys seeing the next generation of Deputies learning and leading our agency into a bright future!

On Friday June 12, 2026, Deputy Telesca had the pleasure of joining the students at Livonia Elementary School to celebrate Flag Day. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and honor our nation's colors.
