Today, we pause to remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001, 25 years ago. We honor the lives lost, the bravery of our first responders, and the resilience of the American people. May we never forget the sacrifices made that day and remain united in our commitment to freedom, faith, and country. 🇺🇸

It has been a very busy bat season! Please remember if you find a bat in your home call your public health department to determine if it should be tested for rabies!

Woke up to a bat? Catch the bat! Keep it and call us!

Bats can carry rabies. If a bat was in your home and a person or pet may have been bit or scratched, we may need to test it to keep them safe.

Catch the bat & call public health if:
- You woke up to a bat
- A child or disabled adult was alone with a bat
- A bat touched you or your pet

HOW TO CATCH A BAT:
- Wear thick gloves
- Wait for it to land and use an empty plastic container to cover it
- Slide the lid on the container
- Keep the bat
- Call Public Health: During business hours call 585-396-4343 or 1-800-299-2995. Nights, weekends, and holidays reach Public Health staff at 585-394-4560.

Another correction officer has been seriously injured, and Albany continues to ignore the violence and staffing crisis inside our prisons. Governor Hochul needs to put the safety of our correctional officers first, repeal the HALT Act, address the staffing crisis, and give these men and women the tools they need to do their jobs safely.

Please read my full statement below.

The violent attack on a correction officer at Auburn Correctional Facility is another reminder of the dangers our correction officers face every time they report for duty. This was one of three recent violent encounters involving staff at Auburn Correctional Facility, and enough is enough.

Our state government must start putting the safety of the brave men and women who work behind those walls first by restoring order in our prisons, holding violent offenders accountable, and giving our correction officers the support and protections they deserve.

The safety of correction officers at Auburn Correctional Facility is in focus after a union reports one officer was stabbed and several others injured during...

Bob Good has spent decades giving back to the Manchester-Shortsville community, never asking for recognition, just showing up and helping whoever needed it, whenever.

It was an honor to join friends and neighbors at Bob Good Appreciation Day to celebrate a man whose selfless service has touched generations of families.

Thank you to everyone who came together to support Bob and remind him that the people he has always been there for are now here for him.

Congratulations to the Moravia VFW Post 7127 on the ribbon cutting of their brand-new fairgrounds concession stand! I was proud to have helped secure funding to support this important improvement, and it’s exciting to see the project completed. A special thank you to the Moravia VFW for all you do to support our veterans and the Moravia community.
