Marklund / Marklund Day School is a nonprofit organization that serves infants, children and adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities through residential and educational services. It is supported in part by the State of Illinois Department of Public Health, and by donations and grants. With campuses located in Bloomingdale, Elgin and Geneva, Illinois, Marklund has 500+ full-time and 200+ part-time employees, supported by hundreds of volunteers. The Marklund Hyde Center’s 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat was a spook-tacular success! Creative trunks, festive costumes, live music and nonstop smiles made for a real treat for our Geneva campus residents!

A fang-tastic thank-you to our incredible band for keeping the jams going, our impressive staff for organizing it all and our amazing volunteers for helping bring it to life. We couldn’t do it without you!

Two groups, two great adaptive adventures! 🎉

Our Bridge Builder Program clients enjoyed a bus ride to explore the new sensory park in South Elgin, while another group of Wasmond Center residents spent time at one of our favorite local bowling alleys for bowling. Smiles, fun and community connections made for a wonderful week!

Our residents got out for a strikingly good time — playing with Spirit Halloween props, trying on costumes and dreaming up Halloween ideas, then hitting the bowling lanes for some hand-over-hand strikes! Big shoutout to our staff for always making the fun happen.
