It is time for the Brown County Fair!
The Brown County Fair starts today, Monday, September 28th. The Brown County Commissioners have agreed to close the Administration Building at 800 Mt. Orab Pike at noon each day of Fair Week. This will allow volunteers, Junior Fair parents and others, time to be involved in Brown County Fair activities. We will be resuming normal hours starting on Monday, October 5th.

Property Tax Scam Alert for Brown County Seniors

The Brown County Auditor’s Office is warning residents about false YouTube videos claiming that there’s a new “Federal Senior Homeowner Tax Review Request” program. The program DOES NOT EXIST.
Ohio does offer real property tax relief through the Homestead Exemption for eligible seniors, permanently disabled individuals, and qualifying disabled veterans. Also, the owner-occupancy credit is available to Ohio homeowners who live in their property full-time.
Always rely on official government sources and never pay for forms or give personal information to unofficial websites.
