Community First Aid & CPR ❤️and Stop the Bleed🩸Courses now available.
The Georgetown Fire Department will once again be holding several FREE community training courses this fall.
❤️Community CPR & First Aid - Tuesday, October 6, 7-9pm ❤️
About 90% of people who suffer an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest die. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, especially if performed immediately, can triple a person's chance of survival. Sadly, most of the time it doesn't turn out that way.
In the American Heart Associations CPR & First Aid Anywhere training course, students will learn the lifesaving skills of CPR and basic first aid in this short and informative class.
This course is meant for community members, organizations, and workplaces where a course completion card is NOT required and is meant to facilitate group training of CPR and First Aid.
🩸Stop the Bleed🩸- Thursday, October 8. Two available sessions, you only need to attend one of them. 6-7p, 7:30-8:30p
Participants in the course will learn how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to control it with three quick techniques. The Stop the Bleed training course will empower you to make a life-or-death difference when a bleeding emergency happens.
All courses will be held in the Georgetown Peabody Library - Georgetown, Massachusetts First Floor Meeting Room.
