Please join us in congratulating Eric Nuner on his promotion to Parks and Recreation Director! πŸŽ‰

Following the retirement of longtime Parks and Recreation Director Kimberly Garrett in May, the City named Eric Nuner to serve as interim director. After four months in the interim role, Nuner has been selected as Georgetown's permanent Parks and Recreation director, effective Oct. 5.

"Eric has demonstrated strong leadership throughout his career with the City and brings a deep understanding of both our Parks and Recreation Department and the broader community," City Manager David Morgan said. "His experience, judgement, and commitment to public service make him well-suited to lead Georgetown's Parks and Recreation Department, and I'm excited to see him take on this new role."
