WELCOME TO THE GEORGETOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT!

Chief Nelson E. Brown is pleased to welcome Mario Evans as the new Deputy Chief of Police for the Georgetown Police Department!

Deputy Chief Evans brings 33 years of law enforcement experience to our Department, along with a wealth of leadership and public safety experience. Most recently, he served as Director of Public Safety at Trident Technical College in Charleston, South Carolina, where he oversaw public safety operations across five campuses.

What makes this appointment especially meaningful is that Deputy Chief Evans began his law enforcement career right here at the Georgetown Police Department. His return represents an opportunity to bring his years of experience, knowledge, and leadership back to the community where his career began.

We are excited to welcome Deputy Chief Evans back to Georgetown and look forward to the experience, professionalism, and leadership he will bring to our Department as we continue working to serve, protect, and positively impact the quality of life of all citizens of Georgetown.

Please join Chief Brown and the Georgetown Police Department in welcoming Deputy Chief Mario Evans back home!
