The Golden GOATs enjoyed a pleasant morning walking the Historic Trail through Georgetown on our Patriot 250 Hike. Thanks to Nat Kaminski for providing us with the historic details of Georgetown during the revolutionary war. Exercising and learning is a great combination. Also a thank you to Angie Weaver, coordinator of the Walk with Ease Program and the Golden GOATs. If you are interested in joining on some of the Golden GOATs activities please contact Angie at Georgetown County Parks and Recreation.

🏆🏈 2026 FLAG FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS! 🏈🏆

Congratulations to our 9–10 Champion, the Northwest Eagles, and our 11–12 Champion, the Andrews Panthers! 🎉

It was an exciting, hard-fought season filled with great games, new friendships, and plenty of community spirit. Every team gave it their all, and we’re proud of everyone who took the field this season!

A HUGE thank you to all of our coaches and volunteers who helped make this season such a success, and to our amazing cheerleaders who kept the energy high from kickoff to the final whistle! 📣🔥

Thank you to all of our players, coaches, families, and supporters for making the 2026 Flag Football season one to remember!

🏈 2026 TACKLE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE IS LIVE! 🏈

We’re excited to welcome teams from Williamsburg and Florence County to our league this season! This expansion gives our players the opportunity to experience new competition while welcoming our neighboring communities into our program!

Some games will be played at neutral sites to help make travel more manageable for all teams. Schedules are subject to minor changes to accommodate officiating needs. We will communicate those as needed.

After receiving an updated weather forecast from the Georgetown Co Emergency Management Division predicting rain starting in the morning, we are canceling tomorrow’s morning bike ride. We will reschedule another ride soon.

🚧 **BIKE BRIDGE TEMPORARY CLOSURE** 🚧

The Georgetown County Bike Bridge at the **southern intersection of U.S. 17 Business and U.S. 17 Bypass** will be closed for maintenance **Monday–Friday, 7 AM–3 PM, during the weeks of October 5 and October 12.**

For the safety of our crews, **please do not attempt to access or cross the bridge while work is underway.**

The bridge will reopen after **3 PM each workday.**
