Register Now for our Annual Wreathmaking Workshop - November 14 hosted by the OSU Extension Brown County Master Gardener Volunteers!

Learn basic techniques and create your own holiday wreath, with the help of Master Gardener Volunteers. This workshop is held at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Rhonemus Hall, on Saturday, November 14. The cost is $30 per person, which includes instruction and 1 wreath form, supplies, fresh greenery, decorations and a festive bow. Limited seating is available; deadline to register is November 5. Congratulations to our Commercial Market Hog Champions, and thank you to the buyers who supported them!

Our commercial market hog program is unique to Brown County. Youth who participate in the commercial hog program sign up in April. They can choose to purchase one or two barrows, all purchased by the swine department from the same location at the same price. On the May pick-up date, youth randomly draw their hogs and raise them until fair. The commercial hogs compete in their own show on Wednesday of the fair, and exhibitors are eligible for showmanship and all other swine awards.

Applications are now available for the 2027 Brown County Junior Fair Board.

Any youth who is a member in good standing of a Brown County Junior Fair Organization and is at least 14 as of January 1st, 2027, is eligible to apply. Application information can be found at http://go.osu.edu/2027jfb

Applications for new and returning members are due by November 16th.

The Brown County Junior Fairboard is comprised of youth from all junior fair organizations and serves as the working group for the fair.
