Scott County Board of Adjustment Applicants and Interested Community Members:

Please note that Main Street will be closed prior to/as part of the Fire Prevention Parade, scheduled for Thursday October 15 at 6:30pm ET. Parking and vehicular access may be limited as a result of the parade and additional time may be needed.

Beginning Thursday, October 15, at 6 pm, the following roads will close in preparation for the Fire Prevention Parade which begins at 6:30 pm.

6 pm - Close Military Street, E College Street, E Main Street, and S Broadway Street; secondary streets to follow.
6:30 pm - Parade begins. The parade route: Military Street to E Main Street, E Main Street to S Broadway Street, and S Broadway Street to E College Street.

Streets will reopen immediately following the parade.

NOTICE - REVISED LOCATION FOR PARKING RELATED TO SEPTEMBER 17, 2026 SPECIAL MEETING

The location for the meeting scheduled for Thursday September 17, 2026 at 6pm ET (5pm CT) will be at the Auditorium at Great Crossing High School (120 Betsy Way, Georgetown KY 40324). In preparation for the meeting, the following diagram has been created to guide community members to the Auditorium.

GCHS is located north of Elkhorn Crossing and Western Elementary Schools and west of the intersection of Betsy Way and McClelland Circle. Parking is located across from the driveway for the Great Crossing Tennis and Baseball/Softball Cloverleaf.

GCHS respectfully requests that all attendees for the public meeting park behind the high school in the area indicated in purple. The school is hosting an open house for parents and students and has designated the lot across from Caleb Conley Way for those attendees. Signage and arrows will be posted around the building to guide community members to the meeting.

PSA for all interested citizens of Scott County,

On Thursday, September 17th, at 6PM EST/5PM CST, the Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission will have a special-called meeting and public hearing in the Great Crossing High School auditorium (120 Betsy Way, 40324, Georgetown, KY). The purpose of this hearing is for the Commission to discuss and vote regarding the proposed Zoning Ordinance Text Amendment concerning data centers (ZOTA-2026-04). Potential text amendments concerning agricultural farm stands will not be discussed at this special-called meeting on the 17th.

Official Planning Commission actions concerning this proposed data center ordinance (ZOTA-2026-04) may be taken at this meeting. Public comment will be open to all members of the public prior to any potential official action being taken. All members of the public with concerns or questions are encouraged to attend, and meeting materials are included below for the reference of all community members.
