Georgetown County Fire/EMS is proud to announce a 100% pass rate for our EMT-B course! 🎉

Congratulations to Fredrick Ajavon, Jon Keis, and Spencer Allman on this outstanding accomplishment! Next stop: the National Registry! We have no doubt these individuals will continue their success as they prepare for the next step in their EMS careers.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Master Firefighter/Paramedic Henry Hulit and Midway’s EMT-B instructor cadre for their dedication, instruction, and commitment to preparing our personnel for success. Lt. Jeff Bialecki made sure he had a front row seat for this morning’s SpaceX resupply mission and managed to capture this incredible photo!

Between the rocket lighting up the morning sky and the natural beauty of rural Georgetown County, South Carolina, this photo was just too good not to share!

Sometimes it’s worth slowing down for a minute to appreciate the beautiful place we get to call home.

Did you make it up in time to see the launch ?

The weather wasn’t exactly on our side again this year, but that didn’t stop the racers or our crews from sticking it out!

Georgetown County Fire & EMS was proud to have Boat 1 on the water providing safety standby and water rescue coverage for this year’s Black River Rumble kayak race.

Our water rescue program is something we’ve been working hard to build, and events like this give our crews another opportunity to get out on the water, gain experience, and support our community.

A big shoutout to all the racers and organizers for another great event, despite the weather!
