The Georgiana Police Department is proud to welcome two Chevrolet Tahoes to our fleet, thanks to a generous donation from the City of Mobile.
Chief of Police Jeremy Peagler accepted the keys from Mayor Nina J. Bonner today after Mayor Bonner and Councilmember Ricardo Montgomery traveled to Mobile to bring the vehicles home to Georgiana.
The donation was made possible with the assistance of Congressman Shomari C. Figures following his meeting with Mayor Bonner and city leaders in August, where additional equipment was among the needs discussed for Georgiana. We are grateful to Congressman Figures for helping create this opportunity and to the City of Mobile for answering that need with the donation of two vehicles.
These Tahoes are more than additions to our fleet. They are two more dependable resources our officers can use to patrol our streets, answer calls, respond to emergencies, and serve the people of Georgiana.
Chief Peagler and the Georgiana Police Department extend our appreciation to Congressman Figures, the City of Mobile, Mayor Bonner, Councilmember Montgomery, and everyone who played a part in bringing these vehicles to our department.
We look forward to putting them to work for Georgiana.
