Come out for Downtown Trick or Treat in Gering on Friday, October 30th, from 3-5pm. We will be setting up in front of the library on P Street, so make sure you stop by!

Happy October!! It's officially spooky season. Mark your calendar for downtown trick or treat this year on Friday October 30th 3-5pm. Join Businesses on 10th Street starting at Fresh Foods Gering all the way to Douglas Designs at T Street.

No streets will be blocked off so please be cautions crossing streets this year while visiting businesses.

If you've never noticed, we have a montly display of non-fiction books on the end of one of the bookshelves in the Adult Fiction section. This month, the focus is Halloween.

Youth ages 8 and up are invited to join us next Wednesday (October 21st) at 3pm at the library for Club Whatever: Pumpkin Painting with Veterans. We will have a group of military Veterans joining us to paint some pumpkins in red, white, and blue for a display we are making for the 250th Anniversary of the United States. We hope to have enough pumpkins that youth can paint a second one to take home for themselves.

We will celebrate Fall next Wednesday, October 21st, at 10am, as Story Time returns with the theme of "Leaves." Miss Hayley will have some fun stories, songs, and activities to go with the theme, and there will be play time as well.

Story Time is for children ages 0-6 with a caregiver.

There will be NO Teen Dungeons & Dragons tomorrow (Wednesday, October 14th) due to staff training. Next Wednesday (October 21st) will be Club Whatever, so Teen D&D will next meet on Wednesday, October 28th, at 3pm.
