Please use extra caution while traveling today, monitor local weather conditions and avoid flooded areas whenever possible.

⚠️ FLASH FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM CDT ⚠️

Heavy thunderstorms continue to move across the area, with 2 to 4 inches of rain already reported and additional rainfall possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or may begin shortly.

🌧 Rainfall rates could reach 2–3 inches per hour.
🚗 Never drive through flooded roadways.
⚠️ Turn Around, Don’t Drown — most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles.

Please be aware of your surroundings, use caution while traveling, and avoid flooded roads whenever possible.

City offices and the Germantown Community Library will be closed Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth.

Trash, recycling and yard debris collection will not be impacted and will occur as scheduled throughout the week.

A reminder to all registered participants that packet pickup begins tomorrow at City Hall, 1930 South Germantown Road. Stop by the Customer Service desk on Thursday or Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. to pick up your T-shirt, yard sign and tickets to the Big Squeeze Food Truck Festival.

Now is the perfect time to put the finishing touches on your stand and start inviting friends, family and neighbors to stop by and support your fundraising efforts.
