GTNA - Loss of a Great Friend and Neighbor - Jerry Daniel

With heavy heart I wanted to inform you that Jerry Daniel unexpectedly passed away yesterday at his home. Jerry and his wife Diane have been huge contributors of time and leadership to Germantown Trails Neighborhood Association (GTNA) over the years as well as the greater community. Jerry will be greatly missed. Funeral arrangements have not finalized at this time.

Thank you for all the offers to volunteer support - we will have an organizational meeting in May. Invitations will be coming to each of you who responded. For all others send in your $30 membership today!

Calling for Volunteer Help!
During November and December 2015, we made several requests for volunteers to serve on the GTNA board. We’ve had 3-4 long time members retire and need some new blood. Thank goodness 6 neighbors have offered to help, however we could use several other volunteers.
We have had one of the most active neighborhood associations in our city and we appreciate your continued membership. We just need a few more volunteers to fill positions below by April 1st, we will not be able to proceed with our normal Germantown Trails activities, including:
Oktoberfest Family Event (food, petting zoo, rides & games)
Holiday Luminary Night; Garage Sales, and/or Block Parties
Board positions needed to continue: (There will be help to transition new board)
• President:______vacant____(leads meetings, coordinates communications)
• Vice President:_Andrew Mullis (assists President with duties & typically succeeds)
• Secretary: _____vacant________(keeps board meeting minutes and provides information/communications to committee chair as needed for events)
• Treasurer: Jim Shanks (willing if needed)
• Block Captain Chairman: _____vacant___ (contacts block captains about events and distribution of materials) All sections have block captains willing to serve

GTNA Luminaries Display has been POSTPONED until next Sunday December 20th – same time 5:00 pm!
Please pass along the postponement due to bad weather to your neighbors – especially any you see putting their candles out.
